Prior to working with Exceed Hockey, Meyer served as the Assistant coach for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL. During his time in Cedar Rapids, Meyer helped the RoughRiders to their first Anderson and Clark Cup Championship during the 2004-2005 season. He was also named the USHL All-Star Associate Head Coach in 2005.
The St. Paul, Minnesota native played professionally in the New York Ranger system from 2001-2004. He was an ECHL All-Star in 2002 and the AHL Hartford WolfPack playoff MVP in 2002.
At the collegiate level, Meyer was a Division I All-American goaltender at St. Cloud State University, helping the Huskies to their first WCHA Playoff Championship in 2001. Meyer was a 2 time All-WCHA team member as well as the Student Athlete of the Year at SCSU in 2001.
Meyer has coached in the USHL, MN High School Elite League, MN High School, and multiple camps and clinics.

Prior to working with Exceed Hockey, Talafous served as the Director of Hockey Operations at Total Hockey-Hudson. The Hudson, Wisconsin native has been working as Site Director for the past 7 years.
Pete's playing career includes playing for the Hudson Raiders HS team. He holds the all-time record for points in Hudson HS history. He then played Junior A Hockey (USHL) for the St. Paul Vulcans and was a member of the 2000 National Championship team. Pete played Division 1 hockey in the WCHA for the University of Alaska-Anchorage (1 year) and University of Wisconsin (3 years). At UAA, he was awarded Rookie of the Year honors.

Shane Wagner brings his coaching and playing experience to Exceed Hockey!
Shane is a graduate of Stillwater High School. After graduating, Shane played 2 years of junior hockey with the Butte Irish.
Shane played collegiately at Hamline University. After graduating from Hamline, Shane embarked on a 6 year professional career. He recently retired from playing following a playoff championship with the Mississippi Surge of the SPHL.
Shane has over 15 years of coaching experience in multiple camps and clinics. Shane also currently serves as the Camp Director for Exceed Hockey.

Dean's playing career includes playing for Hastings, MN in the Minnesota State HS Tournament (1971). He then played at the University of Wisconsin (1971-1974) and played on the 1973 National Championship team where he was named MVP of the National Tournament. Talafous enjoyed a nice career playing in the NHL for the Minnesota North Stars and New York Rangers.
His coaching career includes coaching at the Junior, Division III and Division I levels. In 2002, Dean opened his first Total Hockey training center and went on to open 12 more centers throughout North America.
Dean now commits all his time and energy helping kids in the Exceed programs.
