Complete Development Program (CDP)

What is the Complete Development Program (CDP)?

The Complete Development Program (CDP)
is our most complete and comprehensive training program. The CDP was created to provide the dedicated hockey player with one of the best training and player advancement programs around.  CDP provides all hockey players with an opportunity to realize their true potential.

What makes CDP different from other programs?

The Exceed Hockey CDP provides players with a professionally run development program designed to meet player's needs and schedules. The CDP combines Exceed Hockey’s on-ice and off-ice training components with additional emphasis on individual player development through age appropriate strength and athleticism training. Players will develop over a longer period of time in the 3 Phases of the CDP, allowing each individual to meet their full potential.

Training Overview

The program is designed to improve all aspects that make up the COMPLETE player. During each week the players will participate in On-ice sessions and Off-ice sessions.  The main focus is to develop these 4 components:

  • On-IceSkills: Skating and Puck Skills, Small Games, and Scrimmaging.
  • Off-Ice Skills: Skating Quickness / Starts, Shooting, Stickhandling, and Multi-tasking
  • Athleticism: Strength, Speed, Quickness, Balance and Agility
  • Mental Game: Commitment, Work Ethic, Compete Level, Decision Making
